The Vall d’Hebron Institute of Oncology (VHIO) is a reference center for personalized medicine in oncology established in 2006. VHIO adopts a purely translational, multidisciplinary research model, and is organized into three main programs: Preclinical & Translational, Clinical, and Core Technologies. The research focus at VHIO is understanding the fundamental biology of human cancers, from cellular and molecular biology and genetics through to therapeutics.

VHIO is in this project involved in WP 1 (data aggregation), WP3 (expansion cohorts) and WP6 (social innovation).
